A Legacy of Care:

Three Generations of Hematology

Hematology is in the Brodsky family's blood, spanning three generations.

It began with Dr. Isadore Brodsky, a pioneering hematologist/oncologist who performed the first bone marrow transplant in the tristate area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

His son, Dr. Robert Brodsky, furthered this legacy and serves as the director of the Division of Hematology and the T32 Training Program at Johns Hopkins University. In 2023, he served as President of the American Society of Hematology.  His area of clinical expertise is classical hematology and haploidentical bone marrow transplant for sickle cell disease and aplastic anemia.

Now, Dr. Max Brodsky carries forward this tradition, combining decades of family experience with modern advancements to provide exceptional care for patients with blood disorders.
